How to Write an eBook ?

          In today's world people are finding new way to earn money and settle in their life. In that case this will help you to make a passive income and if you are good at it, then you can live without 9-5 jobs. Ebook can change your life by increasing your income. Many people are earning money by writing eBooks. Now a days no one want to work under others and want to become a entrepreneur, for those people this will be the best choice. 

Steps to Write an E-Book :

Choose your audience/genre :

          There are many genres in books, like Romance, Fiction, Non fiction, horror and mystery. Choose in what you can achieve and write. You can choose it in another way, by analyzing the book sales. Analyse which genre sold so much on the previous years and try to choose that. Otherwise, you can choose what you can write. 

Brainstorm your ideas :

       Everyone have ideas. We'll have a new idea everyday after waking up from our sleep, after watching a good movie, after reading a good book and after talking with some people who is good at philosophy. Take a notebook or a planner and write whatever come into your mind. Do it for 7 days and read it after that. Now, you have some points in your hand and try to write more sentences in that topic. To write an eBook you have to get ideas first. And for that we have to keep a notebook with us or an note taking apps in our mobile. You can also use planner for this process. Ideas is like miracle, it'll come but if you think you can write it after an hour you'll forget what idea you had an hour before. This the power of our brain. Lol! 

Pick up your niche : 

       Now you have notebook in your hand. Read that and find out what you have write about numerous times. That's what your niche is about. If you have write about food, then remember you are good in foods and try to create recipe for your favorite food and write an ebook about food. If you are good at giving advice then pick up a question and try to answer that and make it as an ebook. There is number of niches there. If you are good at programming then write an book at programming. Niche is in your hand. Find it and explore it. 

Outline your eBook :

       After finding niche, you have to outline your ebook. Without an outline you'll stuck at one point. So, before writing your ebook make an outline. How to outline? It's simple. Take a new page on your notebook and write your niche above. Then write whatever come in to your mind about that topic. That topic will take you to your destination. Decide what you want to write about one another. Plan your outline chapter by chapter. Write chapter 1 and note down what you want to write about in that chapter by putting points. Like this write out how many chapters you want to write and what you want to write inside every chapters. Now, you are ready to write an eBook. 

Find a good platform :

     Good platform, for what? To write. You have to find a good platform to write. Google Docs is the best option and free option also. For many software and platform, you have to pay money. For those, who don't want to spend money, can choose google Docs. There are many features which is enough to write an decent eBook. 

Make a writing schedule : 

     You can say, without schedule also I can write an eBook. You can but you'll stuck at one point and can't move from that without a push. That push is your schedule and your to do list. Track your every progress to complete your book successfully. You can use NaNoWriMo to track your progress and Google Calendar to create your schedule. Log in and type your project title. You can add your starting date and ending date. Even add your book's total word count and track that by updating your word count every time after you write. A writing schedule and a tracker can motivate you and help you to complete your ebook. 

Edit your eBook :

        Many beginners think, I completed my book today and publish it tomorrow. No! Never do that. Otherwise you'll have dozens of negative reviews below your book regarding grammar mistakes, spelling mistakes and irrelevant scenes. There are many options to edit your book.

1. You can find an editor for you if you have money. 

2. You can edit it yourself. 

3. You can let beta readers read your story and point out the mistakes and give suggestions. 

4. Proofreading. 

     Remember one thing, the manuscript you have in your hand after completing for the first is not a book, it's just a first draft. You have to work hard to make your first draft into an eBook. If you decide to edit your first draft, then have three to four rounds of editing. Edit step by step.

 

1. In your first editing, if you want to change any scene or paragraph change it. 

2. In second editing, find out your grammar mistake and correct it. 

3. In third editing, find out spelling mistake and correct it. 

4. In your fourth editing, proofread your whole book and after you satisfy with your work only stop the editing process. 

Create a book cover :

      Book cover is very very importance for your eBook. " Don't judge a book by it's cover " It's an old quote but everyone will judge your book by it's cover only. You can use Canva to create your eBook cover. Remember that and create your book cover attractive at the same time informative. You book cover should attract people to look inside it and should be reflex your content inside the book. 

Publish you eBook :

     There is two way to publish your book. 

1. Traditional Publishing

2. Self Publishing

       You can traditionally publishing it by querying to publication by submitting and you can self publishing it by some online platforms. For eBook you can self publish by choosing one of the public platforms and publish your book. Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing is one of the best options to self publish book and there are many websites and apps to self publish your eBook. 

      There are several steps to self publish your book unless traditional publishing. 

1. Create an account in your desired website :

        Choose a right platform to publish your book by researching it and studying the review about that platforms. Now you have to create an account in that platform. Every platform will ask for an e-mail ID and a password choose that and create an account. 

2. Upload your manuscript : 

         The next step to publish your book is uploading your manuscript. Manuscript is nothing but your eBook document. Upload your manuscript and also your eBook cover. Make sure you upload your manuscript after editing it properly. 

3. Set a proper price for your eBook : 

       Before set a price for your eBook, think about your hardwork and your every minute you took to write that eBook. Your pricing should be fair. Don't set a price so low or so high. Set a fair price and you can avoid some bad reviews by it. You worked hard for that book, so don't set price too low. People will think your don't have quality that's why you are selling it at low price. So, take a wise decision. 

4 . Earn through royalties :

        Royalties will be your earnings, if you write an ebook. So, choose a right royalty scheme for you. Amazon will give you two options. 30 % royalty and 70% royalty. So, like this depending on your platform you'll have different scheme. Choose, what'll pay you wisely and fairly.
